Nord Stream 2 is the main sponsor of the unique Baltic Sea Philharmonic, which bridges geographical and historical boundaries by bringing together the most talented musicians from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden.
Founded in 2008 by the Usedom Music Festival and Nord Stream, the Baltic Sea Philharmonic has been promoting cross-border cooperation and integration for more than a decade. The focus on the education of young musicians has always been a key factor in the success of this progressive project and its international concert tours, which Nord Stream 2 is now delighted to sponsor. Under the direction of innovative and prolific conductor Kristjan Järvi, the ensemble has gained a reputation for its thrilling multi-media performances.
