The German landfall in Lubmin, March 2020
The pipeline inspection gauge (PIG) receiving station for the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline (on the left) has been operational since the end of 2019. All necessary preparations for commissioning have been completed. Currently, work is still being carried out on open spaces, paths and roads in compliance with Coronavirus-relevant safety regulations. Since January 1, 2020, natural gas has already been flowing through Gascade’s neighbouring gas receiving station (on the right). Via this connection, the gas is traveling from the existing Nord Stream Pipeline and the NEL (Nordeuropäische Erdgasleitung) pipeline to the EUGAL (European Gas Pipeline Link) in the Czech Republic.
