Storage of the concrete weight coated pipes in Kotka, Finland
Almost half of the 200,000 pipes required for the Nord Stream 2 project will be concrete weight coated at Wasco’s coating plants in Kotka, Finland. A part of the coated pipes will be stored directly in Kotka. The rest will be trans-shipped to the port of Koverhar in Hanko, Finland for interim storage. Depending on the construction schedule, the pipes will be transported directly to the nearest pipelay vessels.
