Pipe delivery to Koverhar
A train with ready-to-lay pipes for the Nord Stream 2 project arrives in the Finnish port of Koverhar (near Hanko). Each of the 63 wagons can accommodate three of the 12-metre, 24-tonne pipes. The port is one of four logistical hubs for the project. Thirty percent of the some 204,000 pipes needed to build the pipelines are stored in Koverhar before being transported to the pipelay vessels.
