Daily pipe delivery from Mülheim to Mukran
In October 2016 the first pipe joints for the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline were delivered from the production plant in Mülheim to the coating facilities in Mukran on the German island of Rügen. DB Cargo will transport 148 pipes a day to Mukran. Each train comprises 37 wagons carrying 4 pipes that are approximately 12 metres long and weigh about 12 tonnes.
